ABOUT US
Founded in 1996, IEC was founded by Dr. Nilson Goes after having earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri Science & Technology. His vision was to create and provide value to electrical contracting through technical expertise and an engineering method that delivers a better construction process and end product.
As an electrical contractor, IEC has worked extensively across the United States serving commercial, military, aviation, and industrial clients on design-build, design-assist, and design bid-build projects with it's skilled tradespeople that execute on Dr. Goes' vision of providing a methodical and quality process and product.
Performing the electrical trade along the critical path of construction projects served as the natural platform for IEC to enter into the General Construction competency. Focusing on the institutional market, IEC leveraged both competencies of general construction and electrical contracting to serve various Federal Clients.
On IEC's 25th year in business, it returned back to its engineering pedigree by entering the Transmission & Distribution design market. In this competency, IEC aims to bring the perspective and strength of constructors, engineers, and mission critical partners - to deliver the Higher Standard of Performance to each engineered design delivery.
Higher performance, higher standards—it’s more than a tagline, it is the visible commitment to excellence you’ll see from every IEC expert and in each project we complete.
